OTHER SONGS YOU MAY KNOW: A lotta people bought this, so probably many know other songs. I don’t.

LINEUP: Drake, with guests Alicia Keys, Nicki Minaj, The Dream, Young Jeezy, Jay-Z, Little Wayne and a shit-ton of producers, etc.

WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT: First full album (not a mixtape) by the Canadian multi-media star was popular, but didn’t move me.

SOME WORDS, PHRASES AND CLAUSES ABOUT THIS RECORD: Drake is…Drake. He’s sensitive, and his auto-tune singing and rapping along with his lyrics and melodies make him stand out from the pack.

But, on this record, I just didn’t connect with it. Some of his lyrics, and his explicit talk just didn’t work for me, and it seemed the tracks didn’t have a good solid core, just some production around some raps and singing.

It was popular, and others loved it. I didn’t, and it’s exiled.

NOTES & MINUTIAE: He released mixtapes and EPs before this came out, and that made his name in the business.

IS THERE A DELUXE VERSION: No

GRADE: C: Even the hits didn’t sound like they’d sound good on the radio. It’s probably just me, but I’m exiling this.
